Baby Jadon Photo Shoot

Yes.  We love wedding photography, but did you know that there is nothing better than capturing the smile of a sweet little baby.  Nashville weather is finally starting to come through.  If you combine the new sunshine with the smiles of a bouncing baby boy then you have a perfect recipe for AN AMAZING DAY.

Jadon Fosbinder is six months old.  That perfect age for smiles, funny faces and exploring the great outdoors.  I had a wonderful time with him and his mom and dad.  We took a lot of photos but these are a few of my personal favorites.  I love to capture the feeling of what it means to be a mom and dad.  Jadon is the first born.  As you can see from these photos, mom and dad are enjoying their little man.

I have four children and as I look at these photos, I can't help but reflect on how fast they grow.  I encourage all moms and dads to treasure every precious moment they have with their children.  Enjoy these sample shots from the shoot.

Kristin & Patrick's Engagement Session

Friday was such a beautiful day.  My husband Rob & I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary.  What a great way to start the day by shooting an engagement session at Nashville's Centennial Park.  I always love it when Rob comes to my shoots to assist me.  The weather was so nice compared to what we have been dealing with.  Lots of sunshine and just enough wind to make for some fun shooting.

Kristin and Patrick are getting married on May 1st at the Ariel in downtown Nashville.  Baughman Media Works is providing their photography, videography & DJ services.  We are super excited to announce a new feature to our video packages that Patrick & Kristin are the first to take part in.  Make sure to subscribe to this blog so you don't miss out on the announcement.

Below are a few teaser shots from the session.  We love you Kristin & Patrick.  Thanks for giving us the opportunity to share in this special time in your lives.

Nick & Katie's Wedding

Nick and Katie was our last wedding for the year.  We have one more in our editing studios but this was it for 2009.  The very last shoot with our beloved Canon GL-2 Cameras.

Katie was lovely.  She reminded me of a Disney Princess.  She had that natural beauty and charm that just magnetized everyone in the room.  Her dress was a borrowed  vintage dress that was handmade circa 1970.  Wow, she was stunning.  Her friend's mother,  Ann Labatut redesigned and fitted the dress to make it just perfect for Katie.

Katie loved getting to spend time with her "girls" as her high school & college girlfriends came over her parents house while she was getting ready.  It was so nice getting to spend that quality "girl time" with them, especially the ones from out of town.  It is a rare opportunity for them all to get together.

Her photography was done by Tyler Andrews Photography and Baughman Media Works provided their video services.  Brittany Nelson did a beautiful job in accenting Katie's natural beauty by providing hair and makeup before the ceremony.  Kitty Hobbs did a great job in keeping the day flowing and organized as Katie's personal wedding planner.  It's always fun when you have a live band playing at your reception.  Haden Carpenter had a wonderful mix of current and traditional reception music.  I especially loved the bongo duet near the end of the evening.

Nick and Katie wrote letters to each other that they read at the church before the ceremony began.  "It's a wonder my makeup stayed intact because his words truly touched my heart - and confirmed that I was indeed marrying the perfect man for me", said Katie.

The ceremony was a traditional catholic ceremony with full mass and communion.  The reception was held at the Old Natchez Country Club in Franklin, TN.  The couple spent their honeymoon in St. Lucia - Sandals Grande St. Lucian.

Review from Mother of The Bride

We are always excited when we get a review from our customers.  I want to thank Donna Clemons for not only being a wonderful "Mother Of The Bride", but for taking time to write this review for us.  I have also reposted their highlight reel to their beautiful wedding.  The location was just fantastic and the family....well, they are as fine as they come.

 Review Received February 26, 2010 to office@bmediaworks.com

My daughter and I spent months planning her wedding to make it the most perfect event ever!  When we were looking to hire vendors for the wedding, someone suggested we hire a videographer.  We were not sure that we would be able to include this into our wedding budget.  However, just to delve into the matter, I began calling around and meeting with videographers to determine whether or not it would be possible to hire a videographer for the wedding. I met with several videographers, but when I met with Rob Baughman of Baughman Media Works out of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, he was very informative, attentive to detail, explained everything that we could expect from Baughman Media Works and what they should expect from us.  I left my meeting with him knowing exactly who I would hire...Baughman Media Works!!

The partnership established between Baughman Media Works and us was phenomenal.  My daughter and I were very comfortable with them and their expertise.  We knew they were the professionals, so we left most everything up to them.  We knew they would create a wedding video that would bring back nothing but wonderful memories of the wedding day. Taira Baughman was very personal with myself and my daughter and went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable.  She LOVES what she does and it shows!! In the video, it captured activities of the wedding day candidly, and included moments the bride and groom never saw on their wedding day, as they were occupied elsewhere.

Their style was very artistic and they found meaning in each moment.  They captured the natural rhythm of the bride and groom and their day with intensity. Baughman Media Works created a superior quality video at an affordable rate that has preserved those precious memories of my daughter's special day.  They captured all of the joy and emotions of the day and as the years go by, this video will allow them to recreate the sights and sounds of their special day in glorious detail!

New HD Cameras @ The Diamond Date Event

Drum roll please...................

Baughman Media Works is so excited to announce the new upgrade in our equipment.   We are now 100% HD in both videography & still photography.  Our recently purchased Canon 7D cameras are ROCKIN the media world.  We had the opportunity to test our new cameras at last weekend's red carpet event.

The Diamond Date was held in Mt. Juliet, TN at the Providence shopping center.  Newly engaged couples reserved their free tickets and set out for a Valentine bridal event.  The evening started out with Limo service (provided by Class Act Limousine) that dropped the couples off in front of The Elegant Diamonds jewelry store.  The bright lights of my adoring husband's  groovy DJ display lit up the store front and filled the air with romance and song.

We watched the couples file in following the red carpet through the main store entrance.  Each couple received a swag bag full of goodies and discounts to assist them in planning their wedding.

Laidlaw Photography provided FREE photos for the evening while couples tried on diamonds & ate mouthwatering samples from Signature Catering.  The Bake Shop provided the most amazing truffles.  They were made with a combination of wedding cake and champaign and dipped in icing.  There were lemon, chocolate and raspberries.  I have to admit I made a few trips myself.

Jacqueline bridal had a beautiful gown on display that matched the sparkle of her smile.  I LOVE YOU JACKIE.

Ashley (Ashely's Bride Guide) assisted each couple by checking them in upon arrival.

GetRelish.com  gave away some beautiful thank you cards in the swag bags.  I am excited that both my husband and I picked up a left over bag.  I will be using those for sure.  THANKS STEPH.

We are looking forward to the next Diamond Date event.  View our new HD reel below and experience The Diamond Date and Baughman Media Works leading videography team at work.

Crystal & Reginald's Highlight Reel

Baughman Media Works is proud to write about this wonderful couple.  We were blessed to provide their photo & video services.  We want to send them a shout of of thanks for the referral they sent to us.  They can expect a gift in the mail very soon.  A DATE NIGHT ON US.

The couple was married at the West Franklin Baptist Church.

Crystal was stunning in her white dress accented in blue.  Her dress was designed by Afred Angelo.

Their reception was located at the Williamson County AG Expo Center.

We asked Crystal who her favorite vendors were and she shared with us the following:

Julie Classic Catering
Baughman Media Works (Yaay that's us)
Leslie The Cake Lady

Our favorite part of the day was the dove release.  Crystal made all the flower girl baskets.  They were so pretty.  I wonder if we have a future wedding vendor in the making.

We hope you enjoy watching their highlight reel.  What a beautiful couple and such a joy to work with.

Sonya Isaacs & Jimmy Yeary Highlight Reel

It all started with a simple email quote asking for information on videography.  I thought the contact name was very familiar but just figured it was a coincidence.  I have never been one to make a big deal of any celebrity personalities anyway.  I sent Sonya a quote and a few days later we spoke on the phone.  After listening to her for a few minutes I begin to think that maybe this was no coincidence so I asked her.  Sure enough she was the person who I had remembered from many years ago.  Sorry, Sonya I won't say any ages ok.

Once Upon a time....LOL.  Ok.  I won't make this that long.  Sonya is the lead singer of her family Gospel Bluegrass band, "The Isaac's".

As a youth pastor in a southern gospel church we knew of the group very well.  Our pastor was a southern gospel DJ and this family visited and ministered quite often.  What a neat surprise.

My husband Rob (BMW DJ) and I met with Jimmy & Sonya for dinner to discuss their wedding.  Jimmy is the lead singer of the award winning country music group Shenandoah.  (You know I had to look up the spelling)

We had a wonderful evening together.  I don't think I could choose who I liked better.  Sonya is as sweet as she is beautiful and Jimmy is just the picture perfect man for her.  You couldn't help but be drawn in by their love.  My oldest daughter actually worked the shoot with me and she just loved Jimmy.  It is very obvious why when you watch their highlight reel.

We proceeded to plan her wedding and she hit a big bump in the road.  Invitations has already been ordered only to find out that her venue was going to bail on her.  Yes....Sonya was a victim of the Cedarvine closing.  She called me in a little bit of  a panic and we went to work on finding her a new venue.  My friend and preferred wedding planner Austin Floyd rushed in and saved the day.  As only she can do.

The Hermitage Hotel was not only very accommodating but beautiful. They celebrated in the Grand Ballroom and it was perfect.   It changed the whole theme behind what Sonya originally had planned. In the end I doubt she was disappointed.  It was very elegant and I think was the perfect venue for both of them.

Her family were all smiles even though they had a bit of a scare the night before.  Gramma Faye almost missed her plane due to bad weather.  I was so excited to be in the dressing room filming the pre-ceremony rituals and seeing Gramma walk through the door.

Brides Grandmother:  Ms. Faye Blauschild
Groom's Mother:  Ms. Johnnie Yeary

Bride's Mother:  Ms. Lily Isaacs
Bride's Father:  Mr. Joe Isaacs

The wedding party consisted of the following:

Best Man:  Charlie Brown (Yes that is his real birth given name)
Maid of Honor:  Barbie Jones

Ushers:  Levi Bowman & Jacob Lord

Candle Girls:  Cameron Isaacs, Kyra Lord, Jakobi Bowman, Megan & Kaitlyn Adams & Karissa Anderson

Musicians:  Aubrey Haynie (Fiddle), Bryan Sutton (Guitar), Jeff Taylor (accordion)

Vocalists:  Vince Gill, Becky Isaacs bowman & Ben Isaacs

Sonya and Jimmy both sang a song that the they co wrote together during their reception.  They actually met at a song writing session so I think it was highly appropriate.

Rob was under a bit of pressure making sure to get the sound just right for award winning country music artist, Vince Gill.  He did a stellar job and I was thrilled for him to have that experience.  Vince was accompanied by his lovely wife Amy Grant.  Sonya and Vince have been friends for many years now and he has been a big supporter of her music career.

The reception was so much fun.  Rob did a superb job. He has such a gift of keeping everyone dancing and having fun.  I really loved it when he threw in the Fiddler on the Roof song for her Jewish family.  It was so much fun watching them all dance.  In case you didn't know, Rob is the best DJ and emcee around.  I am not just saying that because I am his wife.

Sonya's dress was by dress designer - Casa blanca Bridal Collections.
They spent their honeymoon in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

We asked Sonya to tell who her favorite wedding vendors were:

Oshi Florist
Baughman Media Works (Yaay that's us)  Videography & Dj services
Last Minute Wedding Planners
Covered With Icing Cakes
Malinda Campbell - Balloon Twister
Peggy Fauscett Cakes
Paul Wharton Photography
Caterer - The Hermitage Hotel

Sonya & Jimmy would like to extend their thanks below:

Sonya Isaacs, "We are so thankful for all the hard work and preparation that went into our wedding day.  It was the most beautiful, enchanting day of our lives.  Thank you to everyone who made it so special.  Taira and Rob Baughman are the BEST!!  Love you guys!

It was such an honor to have Vince Gill singing at our wedding.  What a sweet man and a dear friend.

And now...sit back and enjoy the much awaited highlight reel of Sonya & Jimmy.

Sarah & Billy's Highlight Reel

Baughman Media Works is proud to present the wedding of Sarah & Billy.  This was an extra fun event for us.  We loaded up the family in the mini-van, found a way to miraculously get all the kids and the equipment in the car and headed north towards our home state of Michigan.  We dropped the kids off at Rob's parents house for a very timely visit and headed towards the location site.  Sarah & Billy were married at Arnaldo's in Dearborn, Michigan.

We had just done a wedding the night before and drove all night to get to Michigan.  I arrived just in time to start getting some photos and film of Sarah's sister doing her makeup.  From the moment we arrived it was non-stop wedding fun.  Sarah was excited but you could sense a tad bit of nerves creeping in from time to time.  Just like any other bride, she wanted things to be perfect.

We tried to get a few pre-shots at Elizabeth Park when she was all ready.  We arrived trying to hurry  to get a a few family shots before the clouds busted open.  That's Michigan weather for ya.  Sarah had to frantically run back to the van while we were trying to shield our equipment from the downpour.  We piled in our vehicles and headed to Arnaldo's.  Amazingly she still looked gorgeous.  We got a little creative in the upstairs room where she could wait for things to get started and was able to get some beautiful shots of her.

The ceremony was packed.  There was literally standing room only.  That did make things very challenging for our crew.  Especially, our videographers.

Sarah and her bridesmaids ascended down a beautiful staircase.  Sarah was escorted down the aisle by her brother-in-law Ron Browe.

Maid of Honor: Lisa Browe,
Best Man: Bill Ritchie
Flower girls: Grace and Hope McClain, Ashlynn Heimberger.

Baughman Media Works provided videography, photography & DJ services.

The reception area was beautiful.  The ceiling over the dance floor illuminated with stars that twinkled in elegance. After dinner D.J. Rob had no problems getting people on the dance floor.  It was a night of romance & laughter.
You can view their highlight reel below.  Congrats Sarah & Billy!!!!!

Whitney & Perry Highlight Reel

Whitney & Perry were married at the magnificent Cragfront Historical Mansion in Castalian Springs, TN.  This was our first time shooting here and let me tell you, the place was breath taking.  It was very helpful that the sun was shining and although it should have been colder out, it didn't get cold until that night.  Flowers were still in bloom and butterflies all over.  You would have thought it was a spring wedding.  Whitney was a joy to be around.  Her playful smile & just fun presence made for easy shooting for myself and my daughter.  The camera loved her & she was so comfortable around it.

We arrived early enough to get a lot of pre-shots and decor shots.  We always recommend that for our brides.  The more time we have with you and the camera the better our creativity can flow.  I can always tell the difference in editing our 3 hour shoots verses our 10 hour shoots.  Though the longer ones take more time in the editing room we wind up with Hollywood style shots versus our rushed live shots of just the actual event.  You just can't get this kind of footage in 3 hours.

Whitney and Perry did a special encounter and saw each other before the actual ceremony.  He waited for her behind a tree in the beautiful Cragfont garden.  I felt like I was watching a Clark Gable movie.  They are just so sweet together.

Whitney's dress was designed by Oleg Cassini and boy did she love to spin.  We had so much footage of her spinning and I think we used every bit of it.  She was just a picture of happiness.

Their wedding party consisted of the following members:

Maid of Honor - Megan Helton
Bridesmaids - Laura Norvelle, Sally Hamrick, Heather Hartman, Michelle Bennett, & Tiffany Holland

Best Man - Stuart Doyal
Groomsmen - David Banks, David Walker, Jason Carney, Justin Morton and Andrew Hampton.

Three weeks before the big day it rained almost non stop.  However, we are happy to report that the weather cleared up just in time and it was beautiful.  I spoke with the caretaker of the grounds and he informed me that they have NEVER had a wedding get rained out there.  Hmmmm...sounds like a good place to look into if you want to get married outside!

As Whitney made her way down the aisle she was stopped by her flower girl Hadley.  She wouldn't let her go any further.  You see Hadley is Whitney's niece and grandpa was walking her down the aisle.  I don't think Hadley likes to share grandpa.  It was so sweet.

The couple spent their honeymoon in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

And now we would like to present to you Whitney & Perry's highlight reel.  You will enjoy watching young love, butterflies and excellent song selections all produced together in a montage that will leave you smiling.
